My mother tells me that during her lifetime, she witnessed an entire cyclical movement from reusable shopping bags, to the plastic kind, and now back to reusable ones that came with the collective realization of the negative effect of the ‘disposable’ on the environment.. I wonder sometimes, whether making fashionable shopping bags would encourage most of us to adopt more eco-friendly daily habits? Probably yes, because I’ve noticed myself many times over, collecting cool-looking totes and bags even if they’re disposable, to reuse them because their good design infuses them with an intrinsic value. Anyway, I digress, this bag is inspired by a shopping bag, it can be used as one, but it’s a fashion statement first and foremost.
